On Saturday, 31 July 2021, in the evening at around 21:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Saulažolių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 292.40), a BMW 3ER Reihe rolled over. One person was injured — a 22-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
