On Friday, 15 December 2017, in the morning at 7:55, in Vilnius, on Gedimino pr., at the junction with A. Jakšto street, a Volvo V70 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 60-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Volvo (15 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
