On Wednesday, 20 December 2017, in the evening at 17:21, in Vilnius, on Dariaus ir Girėno street, at the junction with Žirnių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Subaru Legacy Outback and a Renault Espace. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Subaru (22 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
