On Friday, 5 January 2018, in the evening at 22:46, in Šiauliai, on Tilžės street, at the junction with Gegužių street, a Saab 9-3 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 50-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Saab (1 year of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
