On Sunday, 18 February 2018, in the evening at around 21:00, in Kaunas, on Gedimino street, at the junction with Griunvaldo street, a Seat Alhambra hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Seat (14 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
