On Tuesday, 13 March 2018, in the morning at 8:38, in Plungės district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 82.41), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (33 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
