On Monday, 9 April 2018, in the evening at 17:07, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 225), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FM, an Audi A6 Avant, a Volkswagen Passat and a Renault Master. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Volvo (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober.
