On Sunday, 29 April 2018, in the evening at around 21:00, in Klaipėda, on Taikos pr., at the junction with Debreceno street, an Opel ran off the road. One person was injured — a 30-year-old passenger of the Opel (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Opel (19 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.40‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
