On Monday, 28 May 2018, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kaunas, on Naglio street, at the junction with R. Kalantos street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
