On Thursday, 31 May 2018, in the evening at 20:25, in Kauno district municipality, Karmėlavos town, on Vilniaus street near No. 88, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Scania registered in Latvia and a BMW 320D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Scania (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
