On Wednesday, 13 June 2018, in the morning at around 9:00, in Klaipėda, on Priestočio street, at the junction with Dariaus ir Girėno street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Caterpillar 432 E and a Volvo V70. One person was injured — the 35-year-old driver of the Volvo (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Caterpillar (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
