On Wednesday, 15 March 2023, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Klaipėda, on Priestočio street, at the junction with S. Daukanto street, a Toyota RAV4 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 10-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by a 10-year-old pedestrian, who committed sudden emergence from behind a vehicle, tree, etc.. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
