On Thursday, 5 July 2018, in the morning at 7:58, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 304.80), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat, a Subaru Impreza and a Savos Gamybos -. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 65-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (39 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
