On Wednesday, 25 July 2018, in the morning at 7:14, in Jonavos district municipality, on Žeimių street near No. 27, a collision with one vehicle turning left and the other right occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
