On Sunday, 13 January 2019, in the evening at 22:27, in Jonavos district municipality, on Žeimių street near No. 27, at the junction with Lietavos street, a Lexus GS 300 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Lexus, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.04‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
