On Thursday, 2 August 2018, at night at around 0:00, in Akmenės district municipality, on Taikos street, at the junction with Vytauto street, a Ford Mondeo hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Ford (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene.
