On Sunday, 12 August 2018, in the morning at 9:20, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Skuodas–Plungė national road (kilometre 23), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat Variant and an Audi Q7 registered in Latvia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (9 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
