On Wednesday, 15 August 2018, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kaunas, on Šauklių street near No. 26, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 318 and a Mercedes-Benz E 220 CDI. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
