On Friday, 24 August 2018, in the morning at 10:38, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 35.36), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
