On Saturday, 26 October 2019, in the morning at 5:03, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 35.35), an Opel Corsa ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.45‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 30 km/h.
