On Sunday, 26 August 2018, in the morning at 8:28, in Šilutės district municipality, Inkaklių village, on Ašvos street, a BMW 320D ran off the road. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk (1.34‰ blood alcohol). A 25-year-old passenger of the BMW was drunk (1.88‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
