On Tuesday, 1 August 2023, in the evening at 17:45, in Šilutės district municipality, Inkaklių village, on Ašvos street near No. 4, a BMW 320D hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (0.60‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. A 29-year-old passenger of the BMW was drunk (2.79‰). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
