On Thursday, 6 September 2018, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Vilnius, on Studentų street near No. 39, an Opel Astra hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
