On Sunday, 9 September 2018, at night at 4:11, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 80.73), a Mercedes-Benz ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
