On Tuesday, 2 June 2020, in the afternoon at 14:27, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 80.70), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a Volvo FH 42T. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the BMW (12 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
