On Sunday, 9 September 2018, in the evening at 17:57, in Joniškio district municipality, Kriukų town, on the Joniškis–Žeimelis–Pasvalys national road (kilometre 15), a MTZ Belarus-820 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the MTZ (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
