On Thursday, 13 September 2018, in the afternoon at 11:30, in Telšių district municipality, on the Anulynai–Tirkšliai regional road (kilometre 6.80), a BMW Serie 5 ran off the road. One person was injured — a 25-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of an Opel Vectra (15 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
