On Friday, 14 September 2018, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kaunas, on Studentų street near No. 63A, a Lexus IS 250 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 15-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Lexus (21 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
