On Monday, 24 September 2018, in the morning at 10:55, in Vilnius, on Kareivių street, at the junction with Verkių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FH12, a Lamberet LVFS3E and a Volvo FH 42T. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Volvo FH12 (33 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
