On Monday, 1 October 2018, in the evening at 20:20, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 5.55), a Renault Megane Scenic ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Renault (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
