On Wednesday, 10 October 2018, in the evening at 22:19, in Kaunas, on Vokiečių street near No. 20, a Mercedes-Benz 1217 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.16‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
