On Saturday, 20 October 2018, at night at around 23:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 210), a Volkswagen Passat rolled over. Two people were injured — the 33-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (hospitalized) and a 35-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.65‰ blood alcohol).
