On Saturday, 10 November 2018, in the afternoon at 13:42, in Varėnos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 51.12), a collision occurred. The collision involved a Temsa, a Ford Galaxy, a DAF, a Wielton and an Audi A6. Four people were injured — a 59-year-old passenger of the Audi (hospitalized), the 47-year-old driver of the Audi (hospitalized), a 50-year-old passenger of the Temsa (hospitalized) and the 60-year-old driver of the Ford (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Temsa (13 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober.
