On Sunday, 18 November 2018, in the morning at 10:26, in Varėnos district municipality, Česukų village, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 104.70), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Mazda 323 (16 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (0.60‰ blood alcohol).
