On Tuesday, 20 November 2018, in the afternoon at 11:03, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 55), a DAF FT XF 105.460T registered in Latvia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the DAF (8 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.25‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
