On Wednesday, 21 November 2018, in the evening at around 17:00, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 35), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Audi A3 and a Volvo FH12. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Audi (7 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
