On Friday, 23 November 2018, in the evening at 21:20, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a Saab. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
