On Wednesday, 28 November 2018, in the morning at around 9:00, in Kaunas, on Varnių street near No. 2, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Nissan Note and a Porsche Cayenne. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 73-year-old driver of the Nissan (24 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
