On Wednesday, 28 November 2018, in the afternoon at 16:49, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 99.20), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Polo and a Volvo S80. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (23 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
