On Friday, 21 December 2018, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kupiškio district municipality, on Vytauto street near No. 21, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V40 and a Fiat Ulysse. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
