On Wednesday, 26 December 2018, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Šiauliai, on Gegužių street near No. 29, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Caravelle and a Cadillac SRX. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 80-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (57 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
