On Friday, 28 December 2018, in the evening at 17:10, in Kaunas, on K. Petrausko street near No. 18, a Jeep Grand Cherokee hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 73-year-old driver of the Jeep (40 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
