Drunk Lexus driver hits an obstacle at Žeimių g. and Lietavos g., Jonava
On Sunday, 13 January 2019, in the evening at 22:27, in Jonavos district municipality, on Žeimių street near No. 27, at the junction with Lietavos street, a Lexus GS 300 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Lexus, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.04‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
