On Monday, 14 January 2019, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kupiškio district municipality, on Vytauto street near No. 9, at the junction with Šimtmečio street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Subaru Legacy. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 74-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (41 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
