On Friday, 18 January 2019, at night at 0:59, in Kaunas, on Utenos street, at the junction with Kalniečių street, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a Honda Civic and a Volkswagen Golf. Two people were injured — the 26-year-old driver of the Honda (hospitalized) and the 25-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Honda (5 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
