On Saturday, 12 January 2019, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Vilnius, on Savanorių pr. near No. 11A, a vehicle hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was icy.
