On Tuesday, 5 February 2019, at night at around 1:00, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Aristava–Kėdainiai–Cinkiškiai national road (kilometre 23.90), a Volkswagen Passat ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was under the influence of psychoactive substances, had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
