On Tuesday, 5 February 2019, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Vilnius, on Vakarinis aplinkkelis street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo and a Ford Focus. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the Volvo (18 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. The 40-year-old driver of the Ford had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
