On Tuesday, 12 February 2019, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kaunas, on P. Lukšio street, at the junction with Kovo 11-osios street, a Toyota hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 23-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Toyota (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to obey traffic-control signals. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
