On Friday, 15 February 2019, in the evening at 17:25, in Šilalės district municipality, Žąsino village, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 108.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Skoda and an Audi A6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Skoda (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
